The Costa Rica Horsemanship Learning Adventure kicks off with a three-day horsemanship clinic led by Glenn Stewart – giving you a solid foundation and getting you prepared and confident for what lies ahead.

After the clinic – your Trek Leader – Jorge Sauma, a local farmer and horse enthusiast whose extensive knowledge and connections will get you deep inside the real culture of Costa Rica for a truly authentic experience. Unbelievable meals, well cared for and reliable horses with exceptionally smooth gaits, incredible scenery and secluded beaches to gallop along are just a few of the highlights.

Qualifications:

 On each adventure the participants need to be aware that they will be given a position of responsibility. Everyone is accountable for themselves, their horse and the other participants. Each week is a genuine experience, and your judgment and evaluation of a situation can produce some interesting learning opportunities.The following are general considerations for anyone join us for this adventure:

Great Attitude.

The ability to saddle their own horse with a western saddle.

Fit enough to hike some.

Be able to mount unassisted.

Overall willingness to help with any activities.
